Calpacific Equipment proudly serves Healthcare, Higher Education, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Hydrocarbon / Chemical, Hospitality, Multi-housing and commercial markets in Northern California, Northern Nevada and Hawaii.

Position: Outside Sales Representative *(Territory includes Northern California / Central Valley from Williams to Merced)

Summary
The Outside Sales Representative draws on practical knowledge of steam and hot water utilities to provide customers with the best solution available for the application. The Outside Sales Representative will also develop a customer base of key accounts that generates recurring sales to achieve the annual sales plan for the territory.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage existing accounts, cold calling, and setting face-to-face meetings.
  • Majority of time working directly onsite with customers.
  • Developing opportunities by identifying solutions to solve customer problems.
  • Promoting solutions of key manufacturers that we represent.
  • Maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) data including entering quotations, uploading supporting documents and keeping data current.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and / or three (3) years of sales experience in mechanical field.
  • Experience with steam and hot water systems.
  • Ambitious ‘hunter’ sales personality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and / or practical knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Technical training provided by company during work hours.
  • This position is home based, must live within sales territory.
